Antique jewellery
Temple work, kundan, old-looking work. New gold, hallmark. For weddings, and for one serious piece.
What antique jewellery means here
It is new gold that looks older. Temple motifs. Kundan setting. Hand finish. We do not pretend the piece is a hundred years old. The invoice is this year. The language is older. Hallmark still applies. 916 is the default.
South Indian laxmi har. Maharashtrian kadas. Fusion earrings. The old site listed antique and kundan next to everyday gold. That is still how the trays are kept. You do not need a separate “heritage room”. You need the antique tray opened, and enough time to try the fall.
People use the word antique for a look. We will say if a piece is temple-work, kundan, or just an older-looking designer necklace. We will not sell a light modern set as antique because the word is fashionable this season.
Temple jewellery, laxmi har and kundan
Temple work is a regular ask. A laxmi har. South Indian coral and gold. A haar that has to look like the family’s older jewellery. Kundan pieces when we have them. Carved kadas. Antique 22kt rings. Antique-design earrings that sit with a wedding set.
This is wedding gold more often than Tuesday gold. One serious piece someone wants to keep, not wear every week. A haar that has to sit with a silk, not a shirt. If you came for a work chain, this is the wrong tray. That sitting is everyday gold or Italian jewellery.
Necklace and haar details, including temple haar, sit on necklaces. Kadas sit on kadas. The full wedding sitting is bridal jewellery.
What sits on the antique tray
Antique designer necklaces. A laxmi har. South Indian coral and gold. Antique earrings. Antique 22kt rings. Temple-work haar. Kundan pieces when we have them. Carved kadas. A necklace set that can sit with a wedding. New pieces come through about every two weeks. Stock moves. Ask what is in before you travel.
We do not list weights or rates on this site. We do not sell online. Temple work has to be held. A photo lies about how heavy a laxmi har feels on the neck after twenty minutes.
Copying an older family piece
If you have a museum-ish reference on your phone, we copy it. A photograph of a grandmother’s haar. A Pinterest save. A reel. Say what must stay — the motif, the length, the stone colour — and what can move. If you don’t like it, give it back and we will remake it. Because we care about the customer being satisfied.
We will not claim the copy is the original. We will not antique the invoice. The gold is new, hallmark, checked. The look is what you asked for. The process is on custom jewellery.
How antique gold is checked
Hallmark gold. Stamp, stone seat and clasp get checked. Temple work has more seats and more edges. Those get looked at. If a piece fails, it does not go in the tray. All jewellery passes strict QC. The longer version is on hallmark and QC.
After you take it home, store it separately. A carved haar will scratch a light chain if they share a box. Soft cloth. No kitchen cleaner. Jewellery care.
Which showroom for antique jewellery
Bhayandar first if that is the family counter. Phoolji and Yogeshji. Talao Road. Temple and antique work have sat on these trays for years.
Mira Road, behind Deepak Hospital. Gopalji and Ramji. Same gold, same antique tray. Good if you already live on Queens Park.
Kundali is diamond-first. They will send you to the gold counters for a full temple haar. A diamond necklace that happens to look older can start there.
Kandivali is last. Vijay and Mahendra at Thakur Village. Antique and bridal gold. People also come here from Borivali, Malad and Dahisar. The smallest of the four showrooms. Message if you want a specific haar pulled.

Most staff have stayed over 10 years. When a family brings a photograph of a grandmother’s haar, the same faces often take the brief and hand over the remake. That is the point of a family showroom that did not keep changing staff.
