When people buy a gold chain

Men buy these as often as women. We try to do what is right for the customer at that point. We will not talk you into a bridal weight if you came for a work chain.

How chains are checked

Phoolji, Gopalji or Vijay will tell you the grams. Stamp and lock get checked. A chain that kinks, or a lock that will not sit, does not go in the tray. All jewellery passes strict QC. How a piece is checked.

Which showroom for gold chains

Kundali is diamond-first. They keep pendant sets on Italian-length chains. For a full chain sitting they will send you to Narenkumar on the same road. Kandivali is last. Vijay and Mahendra. People also come here from Borivali, Malad and Dahisar. Message before you travel if you want a specific length pulled.

A work chain is the piece that leaves most often. Not a haar. Not a temple piece. A length that sits under a shirt or over a kurta. Men’s chains run heavier. Italian links sit flatter. All of them are hallmark 916. Phoolji, Gopalji or Vijay will tell you the grams for the piece in front of you. We will not list a gram chart here. The box changes.

Thinned chains come back every season. A mangalsutra chain that has worn. A work chain that has sat against a button for years. Bring it in before it opens on the road. They will tell you whether to remake the chain and keep the pendant. Do not wait for a function morning. That is the care we give at the counter, and it is the same advice on jewellery care.

We are not a super large store with hundreds of staff who keep changing. Most staff have stayed over 10 years. When someone comes back for a second chain, they often find the same face. We think long term. We try to do what is right for the customer at that point. A first chain is not a wedding haar. We will not mix the two speeches.

How a visit usually goes

Walk in before closing. Bhayandar closes 9:30 PM. Mira Road, Kundali and Kandivali close 9 PM. Say what you want. They open the tray. You try the weight or the size. They show the hallmark or the certificate. If the piece is not there, they take a photograph and a date. If you do not like the finished work, give it back and we remake it.

We are customer first. We think long term. People have been trusting these stores for generations. Since 1992, about 34 years. Most staff have stayed over 10 years. We do not sell online. We do not publish gold rates, making charges or buyback percentages. Exchange is discussed at the counter, in general terms, on the piece in front of you.

Message the store you already use if you are travelling across the city for one size or one length. A cropped story from Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest is enough to start.
