Wedding jewellery

Mothers who bought their set here bring their daughters. Necklace, maang tikka, baju band, mangalsutra. Sit with the weight before the function.

What a wedding jewellery sitting is

Three generations of certain families have been buying gold from us. A wedding sitting is usually the haar first, then the pieces that sit with it, tried in the room, not guessed from a phone. Weight, fall, and whether the set looks like the jewellery already in the house. That last part matters more than a reel.

Maharashtrian, Gujarati, South Indian, North Indian. Temple work and kundan if that is the language. Diamond if the sitting is diamond-first. We will not talk a temple family into a light modern set because it is what is on the table this week. We try to do what is right for the customer at that point.

People have been trusting these stores for generations. Since 1992, about 34 years now. We are not a super large store with hundreds of staff who keep changing. Most staff have stayed over 10 years. When a mother brings her daughter, someone at the counter often remembers the first set.

Bridal gold necklace, haar and matching pieces

The necklace or haar is the piece the sitting turns on. Short city sets. Longer haar. A laxmi har. South Indian coral. Antique designer necklaces. A necklace that comes with earrings. The fall has to be tried on, because a photo lies about length.

Typical set: necklace / haar, earrings, maang tikka, baju band, mangalsutra, sometimes a nath. The baju band is an armlet, sized on the arm — not a kada. The tikka is tried with the haar, not bought from a photo alone.

Temple work and older-looking gold live on antique jewellery. Everyday gold that is not a wedding sitting lives on gold jewellery. You can do both in one visit if the family wants a daily chain as well as the haar.

Diamond-first wedding jewellery

Some sittings are diamond-first. A modern necklace set. A diamond tanmaniya. Studs and drops that have to sit with the set. That work belongs at Kundali if you want time with trays of stones. Gold haar and temple work still belong at the Narenkumar gold counters. Many families split the week: gold one evening, diamonds the next, on the same road in Mira Road.

We only sell certified diamonds. We will not sell uncertified diamonds. The diamond page is certified diamond jewellery. The store page is Kundali Jewels.

Custom bridal jewellery from a photo

If you see a design on Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest, we can make it. If you don’t like it, give it back and we will remake it. Because we care about the customer being satisfied. A cropped story is enough to start. Say what must stay — the fall of the haar, the height of the tikka — and what can move.

This is how a lot of wedding work happens now. The family has a reference. The tray does not have that exact set. We make it. You see it in the room before the function, not the morning of. We will not invent a number of days on this page. The person at the counter will tell you for that set. The process is on custom jewellery.

When families sit, and what we will not do

The wedding. Sometimes the engagement first, then the rest. Families who already come here for everyday gold usually sit for the wedding here as well. We do not sell online. A haar has to be worn. A baju band has to close on the arm. A nath has to sit with the face, not with a filter.

We will not publish a “bridal package” price. We will not list gram rates. The ticket is for the pieces on the table. If a piece is wrong, we remake it. We think long term. A daughter who sits badly this year does not bring her own daughter later.

Which showroom for wedding jewellery

Bhayandar is the original gold counter, Talao Road, since 1992. Phoolji and Yogeshji. Families who have always bought here should keep buying here. Hallmark gold, mangalsutra, sets you can try in one sitting.

Mira Road is Upvan, behind Deepak Hospital. Gopalji and Ramji. Good when the family already lives on Mira Bhayandar Road and wants gold and custom work without crossing to Bhayandar.

Kundali, next to Thunga, is primarily a diamond store. Only very finely cut diamonds, so they shine. Not the place for a full temple haar. That stays at Narenkumar.

Kandivali is last, and the smallest of the four. Viceroy Court, Thakur Village. Vijay and Mahendra. Gold, bridal, custom. People also come here from Borivali, Malad and Dahisar. Do not treat it as the main store. It is the smallest. The longer note is which showroom for a wedding.
